Some of you may know that I am of Jewish decent. However, my family always celebrated Christmas and Hanukkah. One of my favorite childhood memories is baking all kinds of Christmas cookies and making latkes! To help you create those happy memories and make them plant-based, we put together the best vegan Christmas cookies for you to choose from. Not all of these are technically cookies, but they go in the cookie tins I give out each year and definitely go with the rest of these cookies.
Christmas Cookies:
1.Vegan Brown Sugar Maple Cookies
These incredible, rich maple cookies are filled with pecans and drizzled with maple icing!
2.Vegan Crème Brulee Sugar Cookies
It is definitely hard to decide, but these may be my favorite Christmas cookies. They are the most incredible sugar cookies, topped with vanilla frosting and then you brûlée sugar on top, which makes them super fun to make too!
3.Vegan Soft Batch Funfetti Cookies
These are super easy to make and so freaking yummy. I love to make these with my daughter. Plus, you can switch up the sprinkle colors and make them for lots of different holidays.
I love these cookies! Not only are they adorable, they have that sweet and salty thing going on. Which is definitely my thing.
These are the perfect sugar cookies to make for when you want to do the cut out and decorate cookie time. Just with a little twist: using brown sugar instead of white sugar so they are a little richer.
6.Vegan Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies
These slightly chocolatey, fluffy, cakey cookies are so festive and will be devoured within minutes of serving them to friends.
7.Vegan Peppermint Bark Cookies
I turned the classic chocolate peppermint bark into a cookie that you can crack into pieces as well. Man are they good! If you wait all year for the chocolate peppermint flavored everything, this one is for you.
8.Vegan Gingerbread Snickerdoodles
You know I can’t do anything like anyone else. So I had to snickerdoodle my gingerbread. You can thank me later!
I also took English toffee and turned it into a cookie bar. The base is a buttery “toffee” like shortbread topped with dark chocolate and nuts. This is a great sweet and salty one too!
10.Vegan and Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
These cookies are so dang good and they just so happen to be vegan AND gluten-free! So if you are looking for something for gluten-free friends these are where it’s at.
No Bake Christmas Treats:
11.Vegan Spiced Oatmeal Cookie Dough Truffles
The next few options are not technically cookies, but they definitely belong in the cookie tin. These cookie dough truffles are my absolute favorite! They are no bake, super fun to make and so delish!
12.Vegan Gingerbread Rice Krispie Treats
Not only did I make these classic treats vegan, I infused the flavor of gingerbread into them and topped them with white chocolate. Yes, that’s right! You’re welcome!
13.Vegan Peanut Butter Snowballs
Peanut butter is my everything. So, you bet your sweet butt I am very into making all the peanut butter treats for the holidays. These are incredible and also no bake!
I am ready to start baking, how about you? These are definitely the best vegan Christmas cookies ever and which ever you pick to make, you won’t be disappointed. There is something for everyone in this list and if you make tins of these to give away, you’ll make a lot of new friends.
