Veganize anything with this handy dandy list.
Eggs:
- Use crumbled tofu seasoned with turmeric, salt, pepper and garlic instead of scrambled eggs
- Use 2 Tablespoons of Flax mixed with 3 Tablespoons of water instead of an egg when baking
- Other egg replacements for baking, a banana, 1/4 cup applesauce or 1/4 cup pumpkin
Butter/Mayo:
- Vegan butter and vegan mayo should be easy to find and can be used instead of butter or mayo
Milk/Heavy Cream:
- Use non dairy milk instead of regular milk in any recipe
- Use 1 cup of non dairy milk mixed with 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to replace 1 cup of buttermilk
- Use Full Fat Coconut Milk instead of heavy cream
Cream Sauce:
- Use raw cashews that have been soaked, blended with vegetable broth and seasonings to replace any cream sauce
Cheese:
- Use Nutritional yeast to give anything a cheesy flavor
- Use pureed tofu seasoned with nutritional yeast, garlic, and lemon juice instead of ricotta cheese
Beef Broth/Stock
- Use vegetable broth instead of chicken or beef broth/stock
Meat:
- Use crumbled tofu, tvp, or lentils instead of ground beef
- Use mushrooms, tempeh, or coconut flakes marinated in liquid smoke, soy sauce and maple syrup instead of bacon
Worcestershire Sauce:

Use soy sauce or amino acids instead of Worcestershire sauce
Thicken any sauce:
- Use a roux made from equal parts vegan butter or coconut oil and flour to thicken any sauce
