Maybe the heat is killing me, maybe I’m getting old, but recently all I want is a throw in the oven lunch or dinner. These are the best vegan frozen pizzas, and you can prep them, keep them in the freezer and then when you find yourself exhausted, you throw them in the oven and have one of the best vegan pizzas ever! I made tempeh sausage for mine, but you can add anything you want. Vegan pepperoni, veggies, pineapple if you’re a pineapple pizza girl like me.
What You Need For These Vegan Frozen Pizza:
- Pizza Dough: Homemade or store-bought.
- Vegan Cheese: I used Daiya Mozzarella-style shreds
- Pizza Sauce: Homemade or store-bought
- Toppings: Tempeh sausage(recipe below), veggies, vegan pepperoni.
To make the best vegan frozen pizza, you want to make a batch of pizza dough, cut your dough into four for mini pizzas, two for medium sized pizzas, or you can make one giant pizza. Par bake the crust, let it cool, add the toppings, freeze uncovered for at least two hours, then cover and keep frozen. When you want a pizza pop one on a pizza pan and bake. These vegan pizzas are better than any you will find in the store!

The Best Vegan Frozen Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 Batch Vegan pizza dough, homemade* or store bought
- 1/2 Cup Pizza sauce, homemade or store bought
- 8 oz Vegan mozzalla, I used Daiya shreds
Instructions
- Make the pizza dough according to recipe instructions.
- While the pizza dough rises, make the tempeh sausage if using. Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet on medium-high.
- Crumble the tempeh into the skillet then pour the soy sauce and liquid smoke over the crumbles. Then sprinkle all the seasonings over the tempeh. Toss to combine everything evenly.
- Saute, reducing heat as needed until the tempeh crumbles are golden brown. About 5-7 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool.
- Once the pizza dough has gone through its first rise, cut the dough into 4 equal pieces if you are making 4 mini pizzas, 2 if you are making 2 medium pizzas, or role into one large ball if making one large pizza.
- Let the dough rise for about 15-20 more minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425℉.
- Roll or press out into circles on a floured surface.
- Place the dough rounds on pizza pans, sprayed with non-stick spray.
- Par-bake the crust for 4-5 minutes, remove from the oven and let cool.
- Once the dough has cooled, spread pizza sauce over the dough, then sprinkle with the vegan cheese, then top with the tempeh sausage, or whatever topping you want.
- Place the pizza(s) in the freezer uncovered for about 2 hours, then wrap each pizza in plastic wrap, then freeze until ready to use.
- When you want to make a pizza, preheat the oven to 450℉ and bake for 15-16 minutes or until golden brown.
