Okay, hear me out. This vegan broccoli “pepperoni pizza may sound crazy, but man is it delicious! The broccoli IS the pepperoni in this plant-based pizza. Slice really thin, seasoned like pepperoni and then roasted. This broccoli is my new favorite thing. It would be incredible with pasta or lasagna too. This “pepperoni” pizza uses a simple vegan pizza crust(or you can use store bought). Pizza sauce, your favorite vegan cheese and red onion! The smell of this pizza alone will make your mouth water!
What You Need For This Vegan Pepperoni Pizza:
- Pizza Dough: Store bought or you can use my Best and Easy Vegan Pizza Dough!
- Pizza Sauce: Whatever is your favorite brand will work.
- Broccoli: I definitely recommend you use fresh broccoli.
- Olive Oil: For roasting the broccoli.
- Smoked Paprika, Fennel Seeds, Red Pepper, Mustard, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Salt, Sugar, Allspice: These are the “pepperoni” spices for the broccoli.
- Red Onion: This is to top the pizza.
- Vegan Mozzarella: I highly recommend the pourable Miyoko’s brand vegan mozzarella for all pizzas!
This vegan broccoli “pepperoni” pizza is quite possibly my current favorite pizza. I was just downing a few slices the other day and I realized, holy crap! This is incredible. Like truly unmatched! I would happily order this pizza at a restaurant any day of the week and be so happy. Plus it is so simple. The homemade pizza dough I have linked in this recipe is hard to mess up. However, if you aren’t up for making your own pizza dough, just buy some and then this pizza only takes about 30 to 40 minutes to throw together. It is just as fast as ordering a pizza for delivery.

Wow – so yummy! We have a pizza every Saturday night and it’s always a challenge to do something different.
I had an abundance of basil so I did a pesto sauce – pizza base, pesto, mozzarella, the broccoli and a smidge more cheese – perfection!
Another winner winner from Lauren – thank you!
I am making this for the second time. We all love it!
