Vegan Broccoli "Pepperoni" Pizza

Thinly sliced broccoli roasted with pepperoni spices and then layered with pizza sauce, red onion and vegan mozzarella.

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees(F).
  • Trim the stems of the broccoli. Thinly slice the broccoli and put the broccoli in a medium size mixing bowl.
  • Drizzle the olive oil over the broccoli and then sprinkle the paprika, fennel, onion powder, garlic powder, mustard, salt, sugar, red pepper and allspice. Toss the broccoli to coat it in the oil and seasonings.
  • Put the broccoli on a baking sheet and roast for 15 to 20 minutes or until it is brown and tender. Remove the broccoli from the oven.
  • Turn the oven up to 450 degrees(F).
  • Roll the pizza dough out on a floured surface either making one large pizza or 2 smaller pizzas. Place them on pizza pans.
  • Even spread the pizza sauce over the pizza dough. Then evenly distribute the vegan mozzarella, then red onion and then the broccoli "pepperoni".
  • Bake for 13 to 15 minutes or until the pizza crust is golden brown.
  • Let cool for a minute, then cut into slices. I highly recommend topping with spicy agave**, and vegan Parmesan if desired.
