Ingredients

  • 16 Ounces Frozen Fries
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 6 Cloves Garlic, chopped fine
  • 1/4 Cup Gochujang paste*
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup Agave syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 3 Tablespoon Water
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh chives, chopped

Instructions

  • Cook the fries according to package directions. I used the air fryer, but whatever your preferred method is will work.
  • In a large non-stick skillet, make the sauce. Heat the sesame oil on medium high.
  • Add the garlic and sauté, reducing heat as needed, for 1-2 minutes.
  • Now, add the gochujang, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar and agave to the skillet. Whisk to combine everything. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for a 1-2 minutes.
  • While the sauce simmers, whisk together the cornstarch and water, making sure the cornstarch dissolves in the water.
  • Pour the cornstarch mixture into the skillet and whisk to combine.
  • Continue to simmer until the sauce has thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Once the fries are done, pour them into the skillet and toss to fully coat them in the sauce.
  • Sprinkle in the chives and then serve!

Notes

*I like spice, and these are pretty spicy, if you feel like you might want less spice, start with 2 Tbsp of gochujang and then add more if you want.
