This is the best vegan dumpling dipping sauce. I also love this sauce for steam wontons, sushi or rice bowls! This is so simple, but it is tangy, salty, sweet and you can make it as spicy as you want. I highly recommend serving this sauce with my VEGAN “BEFF” AND BROCCOLI WONTONS! You can whip this sauce up in 2 minutes and keep it in your fridge for all your dumpling dipping needs.
What You Need For This Plant-Based Dipping Sauce:
- Soy Sauce: Or tamari if you want a gluten-free sauce.
- Rice Wine Vinegar: To bring that totally necessary tanginess.
- Sesame Oil: You can use vegetable oil, but I highly recommend using sesame.
- Agave: Or you can use brown sugar.
- Green Onions: Or chives.
- Sesame Seeds or Red Pepper: You can use these as optional additions, I like to add chili crisp to it. But, you can skip the peppers if you don’t want it to be spicy.
My daughter is obsessed with all Asian food! Hot pot, dumplings, sushi, hand pulled noodles, you name it. So, she loves that I like to keep the best vegan dumpling dipping sauce on hand. Because she will eat anyone under the table when it comes to dumplings. Or when she eats her weight in inari, she loves to dip them in this perfect sauce as well.
